CVE-2023-51749Public exploit

Kiosk escape via Edge tooltip search

Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Kiosk restriction bypass in Scalefusion Windows MDM Agent 10.5.2 allows local users to access unapproved websites through Edge. Selecting text in the locked-down Edge session exposes a tooltip search action that opens a new Bing tab, from which arbitrary URLs can be reached. The path requires interactive access to an agent-only kiosk profile; Scalefusion disputes exposure under the default modern-management profile with website allowlisting.
