Kiosk escape via Edge file dialog shortcuts
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Kiosk escape in ScaleFusion Windows MDM Agent 10.5.2 allows local users to open File Explorer through Microsoft Edge. In agent-based Multi-App and Single App Kiosk modes, the agent permits Edge's Ctrl-O and Ctrl-S handlers to invoke file dialogs because File Explorer is allowed by default. A low-privileged person with access to a locked-down Windows session can leave the permitted browser boundary and reach local files.
