CVE-2023-51733Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized Identity value

Published Jan 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024

Stored XSS in the CM5100 web interface through 4.1.1.24 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a crafted Identity value. The Local endpoint settings handler stores the Identity parameter without sufficient validation, allowing crafted markup to be rendered by the management interface. Administrative privileges and a subsequent user's interaction with the stored value are required; the resulting script executes within that user's web session.
