CVE-2023-51723Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unvalidated Description field

Published Jan 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2024

Stored XSS in the Skyworth Digital CM5100 web interface 4.1.1.24 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser. The Description parameter accepts specially crafted input without sufficient validation and persistently stores it for later rendering. High-privilege access is required to submit the value, and a second user's interaction with the affected page triggers script execution in that user's browser.
