Service-account code execution via unescaped SNMP sysName
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Centreon Infra Monitoring 23.04 allows remote attackers to execute code as the service account through a crafted SNMP sysName. The host-list template renders SNMP-derived host names, descriptions, and parents without escaping, so a sysName payload is stored and executed in a viewer’s browser. Exploitation requires a user to view the affected host list; the injected script can then execute code with the service account’s privileges.
