Code execution via ZIP path traversal
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Path traversal in Honeywell Saia PG5 Controls Suite before 2.3.196.255 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted ZIP file. The ZIP parser uses a user-supplied archive path in file operations without first confining the resolved destination to the intended extraction directory. Exploitation requires the current user to visit a malicious page or open the file, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
