Unauthenticated SYSTEM code execution via RMI deserialization
Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Deserialization in Voltronic Power ViewPower Pro 2.0-22165 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through its RMI interface. The TCP 41009 interface accepts attacker-supplied serialized data without adequate validation before deserialization. No authentication or user interaction is required, successful exploitation runs code as SYSTEM, and CISA's CVE data also marks ViewPower 1.04.21353 affected.
