Information disclosure via AcroForm buffer over-read
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
An AcroForm out-of-bounds read in affected Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor versions allows attackers to disclose memory via a crafted PDF. The AcroForm parser fails to validate user-controlled form data before reading beyond the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file; the disclosed process memory can support a separate code-execution exploit.
