Information disclosure via Doc object out-of-bounds read
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Doc object handling in Foxit PDF Reader 2023.2.0.21408 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory. The parser fails to validate user-controlled Doc object data before reading beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious PDF or visit a malicious page; the standalone flaw exposes process data, while code execution requires chaining.
