Information disclosure via freed Signature object access
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in affected Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor releases allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted PDF. The Signature-object handler performs operations without first verifying that the referenced object still exists after its lifetime ends. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the flaw provides disclosure alone but can support code execution when chained with another vulnerability.
