Stored script execution via unsanitized admin settings
Published Feb 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Neil Gee SlickNav Mobile Menu 1.9.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via admin settings. The settings workflow stores administrator-supplied values without sufficient input sanitization and renders them into pages without adequate output escaping. Administrator privileges and a later page visit are required; the injected script executes in the visitor's browser only on multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled.
