Authenticated code execution via unrestricted logo upload
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted upload in D-Link DAR-8000 20151231 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through a crafted logo upload. The /sysmanage/changelogo.php handler accepts a file_upload part containing PHP and stores it beneath the web-accessible /boot/web/upload/diylogo path without restricting its type. A valid PHP session is required, and successful exploitation executes uploaded code with the appliance server's privileges.
