Stored XSS via crafted Text Element content
Published Feb 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Brave Popup Builder 0.6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted Text Element content. The vendor changelog identifies the Text Element as the affected locus, but public records do not disclose the exact missing sanitization or output-escaping operation. Exploitation requires high-privilege access and victim interaction, after which the stored script runs in the victim's browser and can act in that session.
