Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in D-Link DAR-7000 20151231 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through web_img. The /useratte/userattestation.php handler accepts a multipart PHP filename and stores it beneath the web-accessible /boot/web/upload/weblogo path without rejecting the dangerous type. A valid session is required; requesting the stored PHP path executes attacker-supplied server-side code with the web service's privileges.
