Rating modification via missing update_rating nonce validation
Published Mar 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Automattic Crowdsignal Dashboard 3.0.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to update ratings through a forged request. The update_rating function accepts rating changes without correctly validating a WordPress nonce tied to the request. A site administrator must interact with attacker-controlled content while authenticated; the forged request alters ratings but does not disclose data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
