Pre-authentication code execution via empty credentials
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
Authentication bypass in Apache OFBiz before 18.12.11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through its web interface. LoginWorker treats empty credential parameters as present because it checks only for null values, and a failed login can continue into the password-change route. No account or user interaction is required; exposed webtools endpoints can consequently reach server-side request functionality and code execution.
