CVE-2023-51441Network attack vector

Authenticated SSRF via unfiltered JNDI schemes

Published Jan 6, 2024 · Updated Jun 18, 2025

Server-side request forgery in Apache Axis 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to make the server contact unintended services. ServiceFactory.getService() accepts an administrator-supplied jndiName and fails to reject IIOP and corbaname schemes before JNDI lookup. Access to the password-protected administration service is required, and default deployments restrict that service to local callers.
