Code execution via CGM structure overread
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization allows attackers to execute code through a crafted CGM file. The CGM parser reads past the end of an allocated structure when processing malformed file data. A user must open the file, and resulting code runs only in the context of the current application process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
