CVE-2023-51395

Adjacent code execution via S0 decryption overflow

Published Mar 7, 2024 · Updated Sep 25, 2024

Stack buffer overflow in Silicon Labs Z-Wave SDK end-device firmware allows remote attackers within Z-Wave range to execute arbitrary code. During S0 decryption, a crafted Z-Wave frame exceeds a stack buffer and causes out-of-bounds reads and writes; no function or field is publicly identified. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation requires radio proximity to an affected ARM-based Z-Wave end device.
