CVE-2023-51373Network attack vector

Reflected XSS via unsanitized plugin input

Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Google Photos Gallery with Shortcodes 4.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via crafted links. The plugin fails to sanitize incoming parameters and escape them before rendering gallery output, allowing reflected script content in generated pages. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated victim to click a crafted link; the script runs in that user's browser and can read or alter data accessible to the victim.
