Stored script execution via unsanitized customer fields
Published Mar 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Customer Support System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through customer profile fields. The ajax.php save_customer action stores crafted firstname, lastname, middlename, contact, and address values without neutralizing them before customer pages render the data. Authenticated access to create or edit a customer and another user viewing the stored record are required; execution is limited to that viewer’s browser context.
