Command execution via TendaTelnet route handler
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda M3 firmware 1.0.0.12(4856) allows remote attackers to execute commands through the /goform/telnet route. The TendaTelnet handler processes a crafted HTTP POST without neutralizing shell metacharacters, causing the device to open a shell. The published request includes an administrative cookie, although NVD rates exploitation as requiring no privileges or user interaction; successful exploitation grants command execution on the device.
