Remote code execution via oversized Cookie value
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda M3 firmware 1.0.0.12(4856) allows remote attackers to execute code through its HTTP management interface. The formGetWeiXinConfig handler processes an oversized value appended to workMode=devUid in the user Cookie without enforcing the stack buffer's bounds. The endpoint is remotely reachable without prior privileges, and successful corruption can obtain a shell or crash the access controller.
