Cross-user script execution via unsafe audio upload
Published Feb 2, 2024 · Updated Jun 16, 2025
Stored XSS in Nagios XI 2024R1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in other users' sessions via NOC audio upload. The Operation Center audio upload accepts malicious HTML or JavaScript that the NOC screen later renders without safely neutralizing the active content. Any low-privileged account can plant the payload, but another user, including an administrator, must view the affected screen for code to run in that user's session.
