Authenticated file disclosure via editable download paths
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path traversal in N-Media Frontend File Manager Plugin before 22.6 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The download handler trusts editable wpfm_dir_path and wpfm_file_url metadata as a filesystem target without confining it to managed files. Editor-level access is required; successful exploitation can disclose wp-config.php and its database credentials.
