Unauthenticated command execution via admuser injection
Published Dec 22, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK EX1800T Firmware 9.1.0cu.2112_B20220316 allows remote attackers to execute commands via admuser. The setPasswordCfg handler in cstecgi.cgi incorporates the admuser value into an operating-system command without neutralizing command characters. An unauthenticated request from an adjacent network can execute arbitrary commands with the firmware service's privileges, allowing device data access, configuration changes, or service interruption.
