Unauthenticated command execution via host_time injection
Published Dec 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOlink EX1800T firmware 9.1.0cu.2112_B20220316 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The NTPSyncWithHost interface in cstecgi.cgi uses the untrusted host_time parameter in command execution, permitting injected shell syntax to alter the command. Network access to the CGI endpoint is sufficient; successful exploitation can read or modify data and interrupt router operations.
