Remote memory corruption via rebootTime overflow
Published Dec 20, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Buffer overflow in Tenda i29 firmware 1.0.0.5 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted rebootTime parameter. The sysScheduleRebootSet function writes the rebootTime value beyond its intended buffer, creating an out-of-bounds write. The network-facing function requires no authentication or user interaction; successful exploitation can affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
