Sensitive information decryption via weak cryptography
Published Feb 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use of weak cryptography in IBM PowerSC 1.3, 2.0, and 2.1 allows remote attackers to decrypt highly sensitive information. PowerSC cryptographic processing selects algorithms with less strength than expected, but IBM has not identified the algorithm, key-management path, or protected data flow involved. IBM has not disclosed the traffic, stored material, or configuration that must be exposed for decryption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
