CVE-2023-50933Network attack vector

Browser-context HTML execution via unneutralized markup

Published Feb 2, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

HTML injection in IBM PowerSC 1.3, 2.0, and 2.1 allows remote attackers to execute malicious HTML in a victim's browser. IBM states that attacker-supplied HTML is rendered when the affected content is viewed, but it has not disclosed the input field, request handler, or rendering path that fails to neutralize the markup. Exploitation requires a victim to view the injected content, and execution occurs in the hosting site's browser security context, permitting page-content manipulation or access to data available to that context.
