Admin notice dismissal via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in New User Approve 2.5.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to dismiss admin notices via forged requests. The admin_notices handler processes notice-dismissal requests without valid nonce verification. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to follow a crafted link or submit a forged form; the documented effect is limited to hiding dashboard notices.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
