Stored script execution via unsanitized form settings
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in BoldGrid weForms 1.6.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through form builder settings. The settings path stores attacker-controlled content without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing the payload to run when an affected page is viewed. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to WordPress multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
