Hidden login URL disclosure via unfiltered auth_redirect
Published Oct 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Protection bypass in WPMU DEV Defender Security before 4.1.0 allows remote attackers to discover a hidden WordPress login URL. The hide-login handler fails to intercept redirects produced by WordPress's auth_redirect function, so a crafted Gravity Forms request reaches the concealed login endpoint. The Hide Login Page feature must be enabled, and the consequence is limited to disclosure of the login location rather than authentication bypass.
