Subscriber-level option export and modification via AJAX
Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Molongui 4.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to export and modify plugin options via AJAX. The AJAX handlers authorship_export_options() and authorship_save_options() omit capability checks before returning or saving configuration data. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, exposing configuration data and permitting unauthorized settings changes without user interaction.
