Administrator SQL injection via unescaped source identifier
Published Nov 6, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
SQL injection in History Log by click5 before 1.0.13 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via source_id. The click5_sbi_instagram_delete_source function inserts the Smash Balloon AJAX hook's source_id value into a SQL statement without adequate sanitization or escaping. Administrator access and an active Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed installation are required; the demonstrated time delay confirms blind query execution.
