Authentication bypass via static JWT signing key
Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Authentication bypass in D-Link D-View 8 2.0.1.28 allows remote attackers to access protected APIs with a forged JWT. TokenUtils verifies every token with the embedded HMAC key D-Link, while WebApiRealm skips API-key validation when the account has no configured key. The default administrator has no API key and a stable user identifier, enabling unauthenticated administrator-level API access.
