Stored XSS via unescaped iframe shortcode attributes
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in jrbecart Iframe Forms 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the iframe shortcode. The shortcode handler embeds attacker-controlled shortcode attributes in iframe output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the stored script executes in the browser of anyone opening the injected page, enabling page-context data access and content changes.
