Reflected XSS via unescaped route parameters
Published Dec 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Resque before 2.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a viewer's browser through crafted web links. The failed, queues, key-string, and error ERB views interpolate route or query parameters into HTML without escaping them. Exploitation requires access to the monitoring interface and a user to follow a crafted link, enabling script execution in that user's browser context.
