CVE-2023-50724Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Reflected XSS via unescaped queue pathname

Published Dec 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 27, 2024

Reflected XSS in resque-web in Resque before 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted queue URL. The queues ERB view assigns params[:id] to current_queue and inserts it into an HTML heading without applying the available escaping helper. A victim must open the attacker-supplied link and reach resque-web; the script then runs in that site's origin and can read page data or perform actions available to the victim.
