Unintended resource deletion via shared route parameters
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path parameter corruption in Hono before 3.11.7 allows remote attackers to redirect TrieRouter requests to unintended resources. TrieRouter stores a mutable parameter object on each shared handler set, so concurrent searches overwrite values still referenced by earlier results. Applications using TrieRouter can therefore act on another request's parameter, including deleting the wrong REST resource when a privileged user initiates an affected operation.
