Authenticated code execution via unchecked plug-in archive extraction
Published Dec 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in JIZHICMS 2.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a plug-in download URL. The update method in app/admin/c/PluginsController.php accepts an unchecked remote archive URL, downloads the ZIP, and extracts its contents into the web-accessible app/admin/exts directory. Backend access is required; a crafted archive containing PHP code can place an executable web shell on the server.
