RTSP service crash via malformed client_port value
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Improper input validation in HipCam RealServer 1.0 allows remote attackers to crash the RTSP service via a malformed SETUP request. The RTSP SETUP handler accepts a client_port value that does not contain the expected consecutive-port pair and fails while processing it. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation interrupts the camera stream for approximately 45 seconds.
