CVE-2023-5060Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unescaped IPv6 search fields

Published Sep 19, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024

DOM-based XSS in LibreNMS before 23.9.1 allows attackers to execute script in a user's browser through the IPv6 search page. The page inserts POSTed address and interface values into an HTML value attribute and JavaScript object without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled search data, and successful script runs with access to the affected user's LibreNMS browser context.
