Stored script execution via unsanitized registration number
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in EyouCMS 1.6.5-UTF8-SP1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script in another user's browser. The basic-information code-mode editor stores the Public Security Registration Number value as HTML without neutralizing attacker-controlled markup before rendering it. Access to edit that field and a user who views the affected page are required, bounding impact to actions and data available in the viewer's session.
