Authentication bypass via unparameterized login queries
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
SQL injection in Projectworlds Hospital Management System in PHP 378c157 allows remote attackers to bypass login authentication. The index.php handler passes lemail and lpassword to login(), which HTML-encodes them and interpolates them into two raw SQL statements. No account or user interaction is required; a successful request creates a session for an existing user and grants that user's application access.
