Unauthenticated file disclosure via path traversal
Published Dec 10, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path traversal in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to read server files through the /common/down/file endpoint. The endpoint fails to reject ../ sequences in the untrusted fileKey parameter before using it to locate a requested file. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful requests disclose files readable by the JFinalCMS process without changing data or interrupting service.
