Cross-user data disclosure via shared export state
Published Dec 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Information disclosure in ActiveAdmin before 2.12.0 allows remote authenticated users to read another user's private data via CSV exports. The CSV export path stores the collection being exported in shared state that concurrent request threads access without synchronization. Exploitation requires access to the same application and a CSV request timed immediately before a victim's export or repeated until requests overlap.
