Memory disclosure via unterminated DNS input

Stack-based buffer over-read in emdns be565c3 through fbd1eef allows remote attackers to disclose process memory via crafted DNS requests. The emdns_resolve_raw function passes a DNS-derived buffer that may lack a null terminator to strlen, causing reads beyond the stack buffer. Any unauthenticated host able to send requests to the UDP listener can trigger the read; disclosed content varies with the libraries, compiler, and processor architecture.
