Authenticated code execution via AppendUpdate SQL injection
Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Jun 13, 2025
SQL injection in SolarWinds Platform 2023.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through an update statement. The AppendUpdate method uses an insufficiently validated user-supplied string to construct SQL queries. Successful exploitation requires an authenticated Platform session and executes code in the SYSTEM context.
