Authenticated command execution via insufficient SSID escaping
Published Jul 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
OS command injection in the boa formWsc handler in Realtek rtl819x Jungle SDK 3.4.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The handler applies an incomplete character escape to the targetAPSsid parameter, interpolates it into an iwpriv command, and passes the result to system. Administrative HTTP credentials and enabled WPS are required; successful exploitation grants command execution on the router.
